Nelsinho Baptista is a Brazilian football coach and former player. He was born on July 17, 1950, in São Paulo, Brazil. He began his career as a player for Palmeiras and later played for several other clubs in Brazil, including Corinthians and Santos.

After retiring as a player, Baptista became a coach and has managed several clubs in Brazil and other countries. Some of the clubs he has managed include São Paulo, Corinthians, and Flamengo in Brazil, as well as Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

Baptista is known for his tactical knowledge and ability to motivate his players. He has won several honors as a coach, including the Brazilian championship with Corinthians in 1990 and the J. League Cup with Urawa Red Diamonds in 2003.
